I've tried using ethtool -s em1 wol X, where X is g, d, etc. Nothing seems to prevent it. I tried unplugging the net cable from the back of the machine while booted to the desktop, before shutting down -- it still reboots. Kernel: Linux 3. Bugs: Does any of that imply that it is not a BIOS issue? So, no, unfortunately none of that info implies it is not a BIOS issue. From: chc [mailto:chconnor users.
Sent from sourceforge. I have exactly the same issue with the motherboard. Debian Wheezy, both with stock kernel 3. I wish to use WoL, so please let me know if there is anything that I could do to help with this issue. I too am now on latest BIOS and the problem persists.
Kubuntu Is there any way we can look deeper into the problem just so we can figure out where the problem lies, exactly? Have you actually talked to people at Gigabyte? Yes, I did take it up with Gigabyte support; unfortunately they basically hand-waved it as a linux driver support issue and ignored it, and I didn't pursue it further seemed like there might have been a pretty significant language barrier as well.
I wouldn't be shocked if it was a BIOS thing causing or triggering the issue, but given that Windows works fine and that Linux works for the first shutdown after a Windows boot or after WOL is enabled or so my tests indicate so far it seems like at the least there is some kind of software workaround possible a different nuance to the state the card is put in when it's powered down?
http://newsfromsparenopsaox.blogspot.com/2021/06/pciven8086-when-going-to-sleep.htmlTaro - do you have a modern Windows install on your machine? If so, do you see the same pattern I describe? Unfortunately I don't have access to Windows on this machine, but what I have seen is pretty much exactly the same as you described in the original post of this thread.
I suspect we should be able to find more info on the issue with the motherboard if the same problem happens on non-Linux box. I have seen reference to a similar issue, e. Also interesting is this quote from a couple posts later: "We experienced similar issues with various model of Mainboards and we found this workaround as a permanent solution. I'm going to register at that site and ask that person what other mainboards they saw it on I have the same problem with ilm in a Dell M IF I shutdown Win - no Problem.
If I shutdown Linux - reboot. I am able to provide further debug information if needed. I have tried all of the "fixes" described in BIOS but no solution other than turning off wol.
The fact that it seems to happen on various mboards and that it sometimes works indicates a driver or os issue. Latest UEFI bios version is applied but made no difference. Tried several distributions CentOS 6. This does not happen when WoL is disabled.
Just tried with latest ee 3. Thanks for checking in to it. I realize that makes it look more like a BIOS issue, but I wish we could figure out what tricks Windows is playing to get the system to stay shut down, because the reboot never happens when shutting down from Windows 8.
http://newsfrom634stagagfracpuht.blogspot.com/2021/06/pciven1b21-usb-device-not-working-in.htmlIn other words, maybe the problem isn't that ee is doing something wrong, maybe the problem is that it is not doing something it should be or could be doing, which would mean that disabling the module wouldn't stop the issue Blacklisting the module makes the hardware to be uninitialized and since it still reproduces then probably there's nothing missing in the ee since it doesn't run at all. If it's not possible you can try unbinding it from the pci tree without the ee module.
Also you can try uninstalling the Windows driver if reboot doesn't happen then probably the Windows OS does something to prevent a reboot. Oh no! Some styles failed to load. Help Create Join Login. Todd Fujinaka - Taro Sato - I think Taro and I would both be happy to assist with whatever debugging we can!
Let me reaffirm my willingness to humbly assist in any way. From these pieces of info, it is not clear whether it is BIOS or driver. Very interesting The OS X drivers for this network card are likely the same code, yeah? Xiflite - Marc - AlB - Attached logs are with Fedora 20, 64 bit. This problem does not occur with Windows 8. Strangely enough, it also doesn't occur when executing the 'halt' command in grub2.

Can you try blacklisting ee module and see if it occurs? Hello and thank you -- yes, it seems like it still occurs when the module is blacklisted. In addition to that, I suggest to try to update the firmware if possible. Sign Up No, Thank you.
If an organization has a strict no-drug policy, it will eliminate any prospective workers from consideration for jobs. A company will fire an employee if a drug test detects the presence of the drug. There will be occasions when you will be unable to avoid taking a drug test. Make sure you shampoo your hair with the product right before your test. It is insufficient as a detox procedure on its own. However, it works effectively as a supplement to Aloe Toxin Rid or as part of a wider detox program.
ReplyDeleteThe price is 4613, source. Smoking marijuana strains with low THC levels is another alternative. Charlotte’s Web, Harlequin, and ACDC are three common cannabis strains that are said to contain less than 15% THC. Try Ringo’s Gift, which is said to contain just around 7% THC, making it a decent option for beginners. Consuming significant quantities of any low-THC cannabis flower defeats the intent of its low potency. You’ve also heard your instructors talk about sweating out toxins if you’ve ever done hot yoga. Although this is debatable, you might wonder if intense exercise and sweating cause THC to leave the body through the pores. We can release THC from adipose (fat) tissue during exercise. Exercise can theoretically help to speed up the detox process, but only slightly (28 days instead of 30). There is no scientific proof that exercising will help you detox faster or pass a substance test quicker than you would if you didn’t exercise. Since people with less body fat have a faster metabolism, they are less likely to store THC metabolites. An individual of any weight, however, can still have traces of the cannabinoid in their blood and/or urine, particularly if they use marijuana regularly. In the end, there are only two methods that work: lowering the THC concentration in marijuana and speeding up the metabolism. Proper hydration can keep THC concentrations in a drug test from being abnormally high. Dehydration can increase the chances of a positive result for people whose test results are on the border between positive and negative. There is no surefire way to boost your metabolism. Although exercise may aid in the metabolism of THC, exercising too close to a test may cause a positive result. The period between the last exposure and the testing is the single most significant factor. Through using a sauna, one can increase sweat excretion. Since THC is processed in fat cells, one of the most effective ways to speed up the process is to sweat. However, since there are so many other individual-specific factors at stake, lying in a sauna does not guarantee the drug test results will improve.
